We asked our readers to write an essay titled "My Day out with Shawn Mendes". Here is one of the entries. It has not been edited.

Since I was a young girl, I have always fancied meeting my beloved superstars. I think of the conversation we could have together and showing them around Hong Kong.

It's definitely a big news to learn that Shawn is coming to town next week! Sai Kung immediately comes to my mind when I have to decide where to take Shawn for a day out. Shawn has been staging for his illuminate world tour since April this year, he must have seen a lot of city landscapes, so it would be cool to bring him some fresh air together with natural and stunning scenery.

First of all, I would go wakesurfing with him. It is a new emerging sport combining wakeboarding and surfing that grows popular among Hongkongers. Doing water sports in winter may sound insane, but in fact, if we encounter a sunny day and put on our drysuits, there is nothing to hold back!

Then we would hop on some islands as well. Among all, Sharp Island has the best scenery. I could take him to Kiu Tsui Beach where scattered dozens of giant boulders looking bizarrely like our local snacks 'pineapple buns'. We can also stroll along a natural levee to reach a tombolo if we would be able to catch the low tide. As a geography student, I can even offer him the explanation to these landforms formation detailedly!

While we return to Sai Kung Pier, we would take a walk along the waterfront. Compared to the impressive hectic skyline of Victoria Harbor, Sai Kung Waterfront has a more peaceful and relaxing environment with islands dotting the horizon. We would sit by the benches enjoying the breeze, watching the boats, yachts and clouds as they go by.

It must be lovely if this dream works out one day and I will surely strive to surprise him.
