We asked our readers to write an essay titled "My Day out with Shawn Mendes". Here is one of the entries. It has not been edited.

It would be a great honor to spend a whole day with Shawn Mendes. However, places we would go would not be fancy or expensive.

We will start our day by meeting at Tai O bus station half past noon because who does not want to sleep in. A short hike to Lantau's well-known waterfall, Infinity Pool, also known as Man Cheng Bo. Along the way, rare sightings of the Chinese pink dolphins and different wild life including humming birds, owls, and rabbits. Once we arrived at the top, Shawn can enjoy taking awesome photos on the water cliff and relax in the cool water as the breeze takes away our stress.

Nothing beats the day with tea. After the peaceful relaxation at the pool, we will go back to Tai O village and head to Banyan Tree, a western bakery tea house, where Shawn can experiencing Chinese herbal tea while sitting on a stilt restaurant on a harbor. Watch fishing boats go by and walk around the old fishing village where he can try Chinese snacks including dried squid and rice cake while the busy street washes us to the ferry pier. From there on wards,we will travel to the city by interchanging a bus from Tung Chung harbor to E11.

The city is alive at night. That is why once we have arrived at Central, if desired by Shawn, we could walk along the roads of the city to enjoy the music coming from restaurants and walk along the light festival where beautiful and unique neon light signs are hanging around Central as we eat take outs from bakeries. Or if he is tired, we can hope onto a Crystal Bus Tour where a small Dim Sum dinner is provided as we journey around the lively city.

We can end our day out by separating at Tung Chung. A day with Shawn Mendes would be memorable and honorable.
