A day out in Hong Kong with Shawn Mendes? Well, I’d probably be overcome with a strong feeling of being starstruck. Once I moved on from taking pictures, and jumping for joy, there are a few things that I would take him to do.

Like most celebrities, Shawn probably gets recognised in public a lot. I’d take him somewhere quite and relaxing. One of my favourite places to go to escape from reality is the Hong Kong Botanical Gardens. The view is lovely, and the fresh air makes you feel like there’s nothing holding you back.

As well as the Botanical Gardens there is a ferry to Cheung Chau, an outlying island that carries so much history in it’s roots. I’d love to take Shawn there, and check out the unique rock formation: the reclining rock. It also has a historic rumour of being located next to a pirates hiding cave, the Cheung Po Tsai Cave.

After all the exploring, I would take Shawn to eat some funky Hong Kong street foods. I would have him try some of my tasty favourites, curry fishballs, Cheong Fun and those delicious egg waffles. I’d dare him to try some weird foods, like pig intestines or stinky tofu. You never know, Shawn might discover a new favourite food.

As the sun slowly starts to set, I would take Shawn on the tram to the Peak, and we could watch the beautiful view of the sun setting.

Knowing me, I’d probably play some of my favourite tunes of his to illuminate the way.

To cap the day off, I would take him to the Hong Kong Observation Wheel. I think that that would be an amazing way to end a day food of adventure, exploration, and history.
