For Brovember, Young Post asked our readers to tell us about a man who inspires them. This could be their father, brother, uncle, teacher, or even someone they've never met, like US President Barack Obama or Canto-pop musician Eason Chan. Here is one of the entries we received, in their own words ...

The Five People You Meet in Heaven,“Everyone appears in your life for a reason.” Everyone around me influences my life ,but speaking of the man who inspires me the most, I would assuredly say —my beloved Grandpa.

My Grandpa was neither the one who defended his grandchildren, nor the one who always treated them. He was mean and strict,he had never applauded anyone in the family. Yet, because of him ,the word “proud”was deleted from our dictionary, which made us away from being losers under pride. Not like the others,he was never satisfied by his achievements or success,no matter how gigantic they were.

All he would do after a triumph was finding mistakes and seeking ways to cope with. That is why he was still improving at the age of 85! Pride and consummation were definitely absent in his world.

Being vastly humble , he was respected by everyone , family members, colleagues , neighbourhood, and the likes.

Aside from humility and criticality,Grandpa was also loyal to friends. Once when he was taking part in a running meet, his friend injured and fell down.Seeing that,Grandpa throw in the towel of the race immediately and accompany his friend to the hospital. The competition, which he had practised for 2 months, was crucial to him. However he took none of this into account when he decided to furnish his friend a helping hand.

Grandpa was irrefutably a role model for throngs of human the world over.I will never let the inspiration from him to me to slip out of my mind, albeit he is already resting in the heaven. He may not be the best in the world, but he must be the best in my heart.
