One of the big challenges with the DSE is the SBA – in particular the non-fiction reviews. Well, here’s your chance to practise reviewing, and inspire other people! We’re running a documentary (non-print, non-fiction) review video competition called May the Facts Be With You, and we have an amazing prize up for grabs.

Just make a one-minute video of yourself reviewing a documentary you’ve watched recently. It can be a new release or an old classic, and your review can be as creative or serious as you like. Upload it to YouTube and send us the link.

In the spirit of Brovember, when we celebrate stereotypical boy stuff, the winner will receive a Star Wars special edition PS4 bundle, plus some extra games!

This could be yours!

Simply make a video (MAXIMUM 1 minute; you can even film it with your phone or tablet!) of yourself giving a review of a documentary you've watched recently.

Upload to YouTube (log in using your Google account!) and send us the link, along with the book title and author, your name, age and school, to [email protected] with "May The Facts" in the subject line.

This competition runs from today to Friday, November 27th, so make sure you submit your entry on or before that day!

Terms & Conditions

  • Contest is only open to secondary school students in Hong Kong.
  • The competition is not open to South China Morning Post staff or their families.
  • Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
