Hey there! Being a teenager, I’m often unsure of my abilities and feel inferior to others. I dream of achieving something greater, but I don’t know if I am capable of that.

Most inspiring quote:

“You can become a hero!”

- All Might, from the anime, My Hero Academia

This quote is nothing fancy, but it goes straight to the point. No matter who you are or what situation you’re in, you can become a hero. Stay strong and persevere, heroes!

Hello! This is Rachel, an 18-year-old “ambivert” (which means “half-extrovert, half-introvert”) who has just finished the HKDSE exam and is now enjoying the longest holiday of her life. Facing cut-throat competition in Hong Kong in the pursuit of good grades, I often forget what is best for myself and whether I am doing things that I like or simply conforming to the social norms.

Most inspiring quote:

“The eagle has no fear of adversity. We need to be like the eagle and have a fearless spirit of a conqueror!”

- Author and speaker, Joyce Meyer

The quote has helped me to reflect on my life. We live in a society of walls built up so high that sometimes the top seems unreachable. People laugh when you try to step out of your comfort zone. While adversity seems to be a stumbling block in your journey to success, you will grow stronger than those chained by fear. After all, we have to consider: is it worth letting go because you are afraid, only to spend the rest of your days agonising over the “should haves” and “what ifs”? I will choose to live boldly: keep your faith and be confident in your abilities.

Greetings! I’m a person who is familiar – overly familiar – with procrastination. Lately I’ve been trying to get rid of this self-destructive habit, focus longer on tasks I’ve been given, and avoid distractions, but I guess I’ll do that … later.

Most inspiring quote:

“Don’t wanna wake up one day wishing that we’d done more.”

From the song Mama by Jonas Blue and William Singe

Just kidding. I would like to live a life without regret. I’ve realised that it’s better to move forward and learn from past mistakes instead of dwelling on them, and I’ve tried to apply this to my daily life. Every time I find my focus wavering, I remind myself that, although it may seem like I’ve got all the time in the world, I actually don’t. This serves as motivation to get up and do what must be done. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy myself – having fun is part of life,
after all.

Hey, Young Post readers, being a novelist, I sometimes find little strength to finish my work.

Most inspiring quote:

“Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.”

- American politician and author, Newt Gingrich

Hard work is exhausting and may ultimately seem pointless. But perseverance is key to success. I’ve always believed that. And now I’ve completed a pair of novels. Sweet.
