Contestant 1

Why limit myself to one power when I can have them all? I am what I want to be. If I was Ditto, I could transform myself into Snorlax when I am hungry and tired. When I want to be invisible, I could become Ghastly.

There’s no better Pokemon than Ditto, as Ditto is every Pokemon! I can be whatever I want to be, whenever I want to be!

Contestant 2

I would choose the powers of Snorlax, as he has some of my favourite moves in the game.

Being the “sleeping Pokemon”, he is just like me, with moves such as “Yawn”, “Rest” and “Sleep Talk”. Of course my favourite one is “Snore”, because it’s even in his name.

Contestant 3

I would like to have Bulletproof’s power, because it protects the Pokemon from ball and bomb moves. It also helps the Pokemon access things easily, so I’d be able to find more Pokemon more quickly.

Contestant 4

Dialga’s ability to time travel would be handy! The philosopher George Santayana said: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” By carefully looking at mistakes humans have made in the past 200,000 years, we can make a better future. A wider perspective from the past and present is what separates a good choice from an excellent choice.

Contestant 5

Flame Body’s power, which burns any attacker that touches it. This power is really cool as there are a lot of haters in this world. Some people really get on your nerves! I would use this power on them. For the past few months they have been very annoying and really hurt my feelingsh. I really want them to feel what I have had to go through. I don’t want them to come close to me, so I really wish I could have Flame Body’s power.

Contestant 6

Zen Headbutt! Say what? With a stunning accuracy of 90 per cent and a base power of 80, this is a psychic-type move that allows the Pokemon to attack its target by simply gathering all of its willpower to its head. If I had this ability, I would use it to force the mean bullies around me to do a handstand for the rest of eternity, as they’ll be mistakenly led to believe that their head is actually their butt and vice-versa.

Contestant 7

I would definitely want Secret Power! Secret Power is a random mystery that changes according to the battlefield. I am not really good at adapting to new environments, so I could use different abilities in different areas. I remember seeing Glaceon using Secret Power in the TV series Diamond & Pearl, and it was amazing how it could be a different power each time. I’m jelly!

Contestant 8

As someone who knows little about Pokemon (except that Earth has fallen into its clutches again), I turned to my friend, the internet, and came to the conclusion that Mewtwo’s psychic powers are super cool! You could save transportation fees by flying, and spend the money on better stuff, like snow-cone machines. Or you could just lie in bed and make a hot chocolate ... WITH YOUR MIND! WHICH IS AWESOME.
