Every Wednesday we ask our Brain Game contestants one interesting, thought-provoking or just plain quirky question. Their answers will be published anonymously in Young Post. Then readers can vote for their FAVOURITE answer. We will eliminate the contestant with the LEAST votes every week until we have a winner.

The ultimate Brain Game winner will receive a pair of annual Gold Passes to Ocean Park.

The contestants

Contestant 1

Hammy, an adorable but deadly little hamster, created after lots of research. Hammy can fly like Superman, and also has X-ray vision. His heat-generating eyeballs are hotter than the sun, his speed is faster than The Flash, and his breath is colder than ice. He has super sense of smell and hearing as well.

This agile, young, majestic hero would be able to beat Superman in a jiffy, by scuttling up his arm and pulling his nose hair.

Hammy has many amazing qualities, which many superheroes will be toads jelly (get it?) for.

H for Hero, A for Agile, M for Marvellous, M for Majestic, and Y for YOLO.

Hammy. YOLO.

Contestant 2

The obvious answer would be Batman or Doomsday (as in the recent movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice), but I think that a more suitable answer would be time. Ultimately, anyone or anything will be beaten one day, given enough time.

Times will one day change for Superman. He is supposed to be immortal, which makes many people think he is unbeatable, but that is not true. He can be conquered, though not actually killed. One fine day, another superhero will defeat our star Superman.

Contestant 3

The Little Mermaid, who sings with a microphone in Japanese animation, would beat Superman for sure. Think about it: her high-pitched voice is a series of powerful sound waves. What’s more, they could even cause tsunamis.

As the famous Chinese saying goes: “Never look down on the power of water.” Using water as her weapon, the Little Mermaid would win the fight, definitely. It’s incredible that with such little effort she could beat Superman!

Moreover, Superman would not be rude to ladies, for he is a gentleman deeply influenced by European culture. Therefore, with such a kind heart, he might surrender before hurting his opponent.

Contestant 4

Ok, even if you are a big fan of superheroes or like to research the ones most likely to defeat Superman, you won’t be able to find an answer.

Time, however, is the one who would beat Superman in a fight. (WHAT?!!)

Over time, Superman would have wrinkles and saggy chest, and would Lois Lane love him as always? Over time, Superman would go from invulnerable to feeble, and would be exhausted from years of fighting.

So he would be there for the taking.

Contestant 5

I have never been into Superman, Marvel or that type of thing. But I think the latest hero, Ant Man, can beat Superman because of his abnormal strength compared to his small body.

I don’t know how he does it, but it is extremely smart to have a suit that, when minimised, can have more strength than a normal person. This defies science.

Ant Man could easily evade Superman’s attacks because of his small size, and Superman would never see him coming!

Superman, you don’t have the powers you need to be able to kill this dude.

Contestant 6

Well, it depends on what type of fight is it. If it is an argument, then of course Superwoman will win as “women are always right”. Mr India could also win as he is invisible.

However, if it is a battle, then obviously someone who is stronger than Superman or an invisible person will beat him.

My choice is John Cena. The multitalented superstar and professional wrestler would beat Superman in a fight. And what if Superman is also a huge John Cena fan? Cena is not that strong now , but still, if the audience wants him to win, I am sure he could beat Superman.
