There’s another week of the Olympics, then the Paralympics kick in, but that doesn’t mean these athletes stop doing what they do! Keep up with all their adventures throughout the year – here are some of our faves to follow on social media.

The gold medallist fits more moves into her social media feeds than she does her gymnastic routines, and that’s saying something. The behind-the-scenes footage of her training is testament to her results.

Syrian swimmer Yusra Mardini has been about much more than just sport in Rio, drawing attention to the plight of Syrian refugees. Mardini, who found sanctuary in Germany, and gained global recognition for helping to push a capsized boat filled with refugees for three hours, is fairly new to the Instagram game, but we expect big things from her so watch this space.

The 16-year-old silver Olympic medallist is possibly the smiliest person in the news at the moment. It doesn’t seem to matter if she's part of a gold medal team, or heading out for ice cream with her squad (gymnastic or otherwise), she’s always got a massive grin on her face, and gratitude in buckets.

US rhythmic gymnast Laura Zeng’s Instagram account looks pretty similar to most 16 year old’s accounts; it has photos of her with her friends, cats, and the occasional shot of her doing a perfect splits while on her tip toes or some videos of her world-class gymnastics. NBD.

Australian swimming sensation Emma McKeon doesn’t just post boring photos of her doing lengths in the pool. A true water baby, McKeon seems to spend all her free time in an ocean, from Italy to Australia. And all that time at the beach means it’s the perfect account if you’re looking for some swimwear inspo.
