Echoes of Erin dancers return to Hong Kong with more than 150 awards.

Irish dancers representing Hong Kong put their best foot forward at the European and World Irish Dancing championships and Feis 2015 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Competing against more than 1,000 Irish dancers from 25 countries, 20 dancers from the Hong Kong based Echoes of Erin School of Irish Dance cinched more than 150 awards, in various age group categories, at last month's competition.

Ten dancers from Hong Kong received first place in their categories, and the school came in second in the Dance Drama category for second consecutive year.

Catriona Newcombe, founder and director of Echoes of Erin School of Irish Dance, was thrilled over the students' success. "The dancers worked so hard and loved every minute of rehearsals together,” she said. “They are an amazing team of girls, and we had so much fun, which is what’s it all about."
