The Madame Tussauds sculpting team took extremely careful measurements, shot hundreds of photographs from every angle possible, and even inserted each strand of hair by hand with needles.

Having stolen hearts with his roles in television dramas Moon Embracing the Sun, Secretly, Greatly and the immensely popular My Love from the Star, Korean heartthrob Kim Soo-hyun has made a name for himself not only in his home country, but also all throughout Asia and, indeed, the world. So it's no wonder why he is being recreated as a wax figure, or that his wax likeness deserves a place at the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong museum. Much to his fans' delight, Kim's figure will be dressed in one of the outfits the superstar has worn on screen.

To ensure complete accuracy, the Madame Tussauds sculpting team flew to Seoul for a 7-hour sitting process with Kim, who was a good sport throughout the very long, detailed and tedious process.

My Love from the Star means a lot to me and I am very happy that audiences adore my character Professor Do Min Joon," says Kim. "I am eager to see the wax figure of Professor Do, which will go through such a complicated and precise creation process, to completion. In this way, I can be stationed in Hong Kong and greet my fans and visitors there daily.”

The Kim Soo-hyun wax figure will debut at the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong museum later this year, though there is no confirmed date yet.
