Charlie burst onto the scene in 2015 with See You Again, a song from the Furious 7 soundtrack that earned three Grammy nominations, and was the best-selling song of that year, worldwide. His first solo album, Nine Track Mind, went multi-platinum, and featured massive hits such as One Call Away, Marvin Gaye (with Meghan Trainor) and We Don't Talk Anymore (with Selena Gomez).

With its 80s/90s RnB vibe, the record is largely about the singer's struggle to find a normal relationship while living a life that is far from normal, and the anxiety that has induced.“

I wanted it to be a story of my travels from the East Coast to the West Coast and how my growing fame has affected my mind in good and bad ways,” he says.
