1. Stop the songs
I hate the Christmas songs I have to listen to every time I'm in a shopping mall. All I seem to hear is Jingle Bells or We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Well, the only thing I'm wishing for is the Christmas songs to stop.
Li Ka-ki, 17, Fung Kai Liu Man Shek Tong Secondary School
2. Ho Ho Homework
I hate all the extra assignments teachers ask us to do during the Christmas holidays. Christmas is supposed to be spent with our loved ones, not with our homework! It definitely spoils the Christmassy feeling. It should be merry!
Harmandeep Kaur, 16, St Margaret's Girls' College
3. Respect the Clauses
The parody Christmas songs, especially the rude ones, really get on my nerves. I mean, it's an insult to Mr and Mrs Claus! Come on, guys, quit singing about them! Don't you want presents?
Ananye Dayal, 9, Kowloon Junior School
4. Bringing the joy
The worst thing about Christmas is listening to people constantly singing Christmas carols, especially Joy to the World. Just because my name is Joy, my classmates sing that song every year. Not only does it get stuck in my head, I have to smile because I'm Joy!
Joy Pamnani, 16, PLK Ngan Po Ling College
5. Looking for love
What I hate about Christmas is being single! Christmas is the start of the couple's season, with the New Year quickly following, then Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day not long after that. I feel really jealous of all the couples having a romantic time.
Charlotte Chong, 16, CCC Mong Man Wai College
6. Santa belly
All that Christmas food and lack of exercise during the holidays gives me a Santa belly. Maybe it's just my lack of self-control at buffet dinners, but hey, who can resist delicious servings of roasted holiday goodness? This year I'm going to be watching my weight so that I don't put on the "mass" during Christmas.
Catherine Wang, 15, Chinese International School
7. A jolly Christmas
For some people, holidays are a time to relax and be jolly. Christmas is all about eating a week's worth of calories in one dinner, stressful emergency shopping for gifts and sitting on a fat old man's lap. But for me, this year's Christmas is the perfect opportunity to cram in as much work as I can. That's why I'll be heading to Korea to study the day after school ends, instead of "wasting my time" having a good time. How jolly.
Annette Kim, 15, Chinese International School
8. Tough decisions
I hate choosing Christmas presents because I find it hard to decide what to buy for my friends. I get stressed and worried that they might not like it.
Mandy Chung, 17, Fung Kai Liu Man Shek Tong Secondary School
9. Christmas every day
The only thing I hate about Christmas is that it's only one day. It is over so quickly that you spend the next 364 days thinking about next year's!
Charlotte Chan, 15, German Swiss International School
10. Wrap up
I hate that I have to dress up like a snowman because of the cold weather.
Yau Chun-ming, 18, Fung Kai Liu Man Shek Tong Secondary School
