We asked our readers about their dream jobs. Here are their answers...

1. Singing for a better world

My dream is to become a singer so I can brighten up people's lives with my songs. With music, I could connect with people from all walks of life and from all over the world.

Limbu Laxmi, 17, Delia Memorial School (Broadway)

2. Acting up

Our lives can become too boring, and we don't have time to try different things. So I want to be an actor and play all types of roles.

Wilson Wong, 16, SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School

3. Helping furry friends

My dream job is to work at charities dedicated to animals' welfare, like the SPCA and Doctor Pet. Many abandoned and stray animals in Hong Kong need our help because they're lonely, sick and can't survive on their own. Helping these poor animals would be such a meaningful job.

Cyrus Ng Kai-cheung, 18, SKH Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School

4. Magic moments

Wedding planner - watching people enjoy the most magical day of their lives would make me happy as well.

Jenny Chan, 16, Carmel Secondary School

5. Man's best friend

My dream job is to own a doggie daycare. All dogs want to be fed and loved. Once you've become friends with them, they will be loyal to you, unlike many people in the business world! Looking after dogs and playing with them all day would be the most fantastic thing in the world.

Lokman Chong, 16, Law Ting Pong Secondary School

6. Future Postie?

Becoming a newspaper editor is my dream! Newspapers raise awareness of social issues and encourage discussion. With so many different things happening every day, it will also satisfy my curiosity.

Darren Tang, 16, Law Ting Pong Secondary School

7. Blogging the world

To become a travel blogger would be pretty amazing. I would have the chance to do the two things I love most: travelling and writing. I would also hope my stories will inspire others. Getting paid is just a bonus. "Love what you do and do what you love."

Patricia Abundo, 17, YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College

8. Jet-set lifestyle

Setting off to the world's most exotic destinations, thrilling take-offs, and being called "captain". Who wouldn't want to become a pilot?

Sandeep Kaur, 15, St Margaret's Girls' College

9. Flying high

I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky ... I believe I can be a pilot when I am 25! Inspired by the story of the Wright brothers, I have been dreaming that I was a little bird and could soar above the sky since I was a kid.

Charlotte Chan, 15, Carmel Secondary School

10. Justice for all

I want to be a lawyer - not for the high salary, but to help bring justice to people who cannot defend themselves in court. It'll also make my teachers and parents proud.

Agampreet Kaur, 15, St Margaret's Girls' College
