Students in Hong Kong have too much homework. This is the case even in primary schools. We get at least five items of homework per week. It’s time to have a day where we don’t have to do any!

Procrastination Day
Procrastination is so common around the world, I think it should be celebrated as a public holiday. It’s worth celebrating, because it calms the mind and soul of hardworking people. We could hold online fairs for procrastinators who lounge on their sofas all day. They would be able to get food baskets filled with crisps, fizzy drinks, and sweets, as well as blankets and pillows. Just thinking about it is exciting!

Netflix and YouTube Day
We would get to binge-watch TV shows and videos all day long. Actors and YouTubers would do a live stream or arrange meet-and-greets with fans. Free food, too. What an amazing day!

Yes, it may already exist, but saving the environment is an incredibly important job for humans. On this day, it would be mandatory for people to do something that benefits the environment, like planting a tree or participating in a beach clean-up.

Developed countries still rely heavily on fossil fuels and nuclear energy. We must go green and switch to using natural resources like solar, wind and hydroelectric power. People would pay more attention if we really promote renewable energy.

You only eat mangoes and drink mango juice on this day. Also, shops are only allowed to sell mangoes. This is a sweet holiday we all deserve!

The hunting and trading of wild animals is still going on despite efforts by conservation groups to stop poaching. When we see videos of leopards, tigers, pandas and other animals, we see the pure and natural world. It’s time to remind people of the importance of saving all endangered animals.
