Top 10: what’s the best thing to do on a rainy day?

Top 10: what’s the best thing to do on a rainy day?

From puddle jumping to KTV, there are some great suggestions here!

Get puddled

Of course, there’s only one thing to do – dig out your wellies and jump in the puddles! It may seem a little childish, but I’d definitely do it. There is something really liberating about kicking and splashing in puddles. The aftermath, however, is wet socks (the #1 enemy of all mankind); so prepare yourself.

Shower out? Shower in!

I would take a nice, hot shower – and nearly fall asleep in the process. Knowing that it’s icky and wet outside just makes taking a shower in your cosy home all the more pleasurable.

What kind of weather would you want to weather forever?

It’s for science

Take your mobile phone outside to test whether it is waterproof. ... or, if you have a Note 7, you can see if it will really explode!

Double your pleasure

On a rainy day, I love to stay at home with a cup of hot chocolate in one hand and a book in the other!

Karina Poon, 16, South Island School

Hope it’s not hailing taxis!

If it is raining cats and dogs, we should bring cages to catch as many of them as we can.

What’s a good excuse to skip school?

Misery loves company

Call a friend over and have some fun! Enjoy the time indoors, as most of the time, this doesn’t happen. We always have to go to school or tutorials, or do other activities, so you should stay indoors, watch a movie and maybe even throw a sleepover to spice things up! You never know, you might just want to do it again!

Parul Methi, 12, King George V School

Strike a pose

Sit by the window, sipping coffee, reading a book, and watching the rain fall while listening to music and petting the cat that is curled up next to you. This is so tumblr omg.

Pauline Wong, 14, Maryknoll Convent School

Who’s up for KTV?

Sometimes the bad weather may make you a bit sad but don’t worry, because, as the old saying goes: “There are always more solutions than problems.” Even though we can’t go outdoors, we can still do something indoors. For example,,we can go to karaoke with all our friends. Not only will this bring us closer, the singing will make us happy and relaxed!

What is the best cure for lack of sleep?

LOL and order

Rainy days are great for tidying my bedroom. I have books, notes, paper, pens, and cushions all over the floor. My mum always says that my room gives her a headache, and she has given up on helping me tidy it! A rainy day would be a good day to stay in and be a good boy – and I only have to do it once every few months!

Lau Yan-shing, 13, Immaculate Heart of Mary College

Use it productively ... or not

Rainy days always cause so much trouble. I hate them. It’s best just to stay home and study ... or play video games, ha ha!

Elsa Ho, 14, SKH Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School
