British pop group The Vamps perfectly represent today's web-based generation: the quartet met over social media.
Meet the Vamps is their much-awaited debut album. Since forming in 2012, the band has opened shows in Britain for Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift.
The 15-track album opens with Wild Heart, a playful, holiday-on-the-horizon type of song. The acoustic track is likely to become a favourite with girl fans, with lead singer Brad Simpson - sporting a quiff Harry Style's would be proud of - passionately singing: Stay here, my dear/ Feels like I've been standing right here for years.
The album is full of anthems, including Somebody to You, which features cheerful shouts and claps, creating a high-energy mood. Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart) includes a touch of reggae, while Can We Dance, a UK charts No 2 single - is straight-up pop.
Meet the Vamps will bring some much needed zest to your summer playlist. But if you're want something a little more sophisticated, wait for Coldplay's new album instead.
