All Time Low waste no time with their fifth full-length album, Don't Panic, catching the listener off-guard with The Reckless and the Brave. The title is indicative of their attitude - they don't beat about the bush.

Be prepared for intense guitar riffs, heart-wrenching lyrics (that you can sing along to) and well-placed reverb, all designed to add to that build-up.

Outlines may be one of the louder tracks, but it's also one of the most heartfelt. "I'm just a moment, so don't let me pass you by" may not look like poetry, but coupled with thrashing guitars and equally forceful drums, it's a reminder not to hold back. Similarly, Backseat Serenade acknowledges the damage that could ensue from being uncertain of one's feelings.

All Time Low manage to convey everything you'd like in a pop-rock album - youth, fun and just enough rebelliousness to keep you on your toes.

Think of the essence of "carpe diem", bottled up and infused in a 12-track album, without any of that #YOLO nonsense.

The album is on their record label's YouTube channel (Hopeless Records) - so there's no excuse not to give Don't Panic a shot.
