Are you ready for Twice, BTS, Got7, EXO, Monsta X, I.O.I and other huge K-pop acts, all in one night? K-pop’s equivalent of the Grammys, the Mnet Asian Music Awards, is just 24 hours away! Hosted by entertainment conglomerate CJ E&M in Hong Kong for the fifth consecutive year, the biggest names in the K-pop industry are set to hit the AsiaWorld-Expo’s Arena tomorrow night.

Nineteen awards are up for grabs, and the winners are decided by a mix of criteria including online voting, sales, chart rankings and the scores from judges and selection committees. Voting is open until 11pm (Hong Kong time) on December 1, so results could still change, but EXO is leading in the vote for Best Male Group, Best Dance Performance Male Group as well as Artist and Song of the Year. Meanwhile, Red Velvet is ahead in the polls for Best Female Group and Best Dance Performance Female Group. BTS has five nominations, the most out of all the groups, and is currently leading in the vote for Best Music Video for Blood Sweat & Tears.

Here are six other things you should know about the ceremony:

1 American rapper Wiz Khalifa, who co-wrote the hit song See You Again for the movie Furious 7, will collaborate with a K-pop artist for a special performance, CJ E&M Director Kang Hee-jung has announced. Reports say that Wiz Khalifa will be sharing the stage with rapper Zico and singers Crush and Dean. The three collaborated on the song Bermuda Triangle, which was released on Monday.

2 Producer Timbaland and Korean-American singer-songwriter Eric Nam are also set to perform their new song Body tomorrow, The Korea Herald reports. Timbaland was a guest judge on Mnet’s Show Me The Money rap competition, and has worked with Asian acts like Chinese singer Jane Zhang and J-Pop artist Hikaru Utada. Nam’s album Good For You is currently leading the vote for the Best Vocal Performance Male Solo category, ahead of Dean D’s (Half Moon).

3 EXO’s Byun Baek-hyun and Suzy Bae from girl group miss A will be performing their popular duet Dream, released on January 7 this year, live for the first time. The song is currently leading the vote for the Best Collaboration award, beating MOBB’s Hit Me by more than 25 million votes.

4 Other performers include Got7, Monsta X, BewhY, Taemin, Taeyeon, EXO, BTS, Seventeen, Gfriend, Twice, I.O.I and
Nct Dream.

5 All artists under YG Entertainment are skipping this year’s awards, including BlackPink, iKon, Lee Hi and Psy, who all have nominations. BlackPink is leading the vote in the Best New Female Artist category, but the company’s spokesman says its artists are too busy with their current schedules to show up for the party this year. Big Bang, Skies and Psy may be preparing for their comeback at the end of the year, but it’s a bummer that all the other artists can’t make it, either.

6 The award ceremony is scheduled to start at 8pm tomorrow. Don’t worry if you aren’t one of the 10,000 people who have tickets to see the show – it will be streamed live on mama.mwave.me.
