Trollhunters was directed by Guillermo del Toro and the lead is voiced by the late Anton Yelchin. Need we say more?

The Lunar New Year holidays are coming up, which means you will (hopefully) have a bit of spare time on your hands. If you find yourself with nothing to do, check out these awesome shows on Netflix!

Rick and Morty

This wacky, zany sci-fi sitcom is as clever as it is strange. Cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty go on some pretty ridiculous adventures together.

The show, which has taken on a life of its own in the online meme culture, was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. Roiland also happens to be the voice actor of both Rick and Morty.

Not only will this show introduce you to a host of hilarious catchphrases, it will make you question everything: from technology, to the human race, to family, and even spicy Sichuan sauce.

Bojack Horseman

This satirical comedy takes a good hard look at the Hollywood culture, and reminds us that, maybe being famous isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be.

It stars Will Arnett from Arrested Development as Bojack Horseman, a retired sitcom superstar who’s down in the dumps and, well, a horse. It also stars Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), as his goofy friend.

This is a great comedy that will make you question your own life as much as it will make you laugh out loud.

F is for Family

This cynical comedy, created by and starring superstar comedian Bill Burr, has a star-studded cast featuring actors like Justin Long (the voice of Alvin in Alvin and the Chipmunks).

Burr stars as Frank Murphy, an angry middle-aged father who is both loved and terrified by his children. The show has quickly become one of the Netflix’s biggest animated hits.

Trollhunters

This Netflix original series is a first of its kind. The story revolves around Jim Lake Jr (voiced by the late Anton Yelchin), a boy who stumbles upon a magical amulet to become the first human trollhunter. He explores the troll world with his friend Toby Domzalski, and begins training how to fight troll enemies with the help of his mentors Blinky and AAARRRGGHH!!!.

One to look out for

Netflix is set to release a new animated series in 2018 called Disenchantment, created by The Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening. The series is about Bean, a princess that lives in the medieval kingdom of Beanlandia, her elf friend who goes by the name of Elfo, and Luci, Bean’s “personal demon”.

We don’t see a way in which this show doesn’t turn out to be great.
