Halloween comes but once a year, but luckily the celebrations last much longer than just October 31. If you’re too old for trick or treating but still want to dress up, we’ve got nine spooktacular ways for you to celebrate.
Bounce Spooky Super Session
What to expect: Dress up, hunt ghosts, and battle to be the last survivor standing in the hourly dodgeball tournament, all for the chance to win free passes.
When: 6pm-9pm on October 29-31

Monday Monster Madness
What to expect: Yes, Halloween falls on a Monday, but that’s not going to stop the party. If you like your demons and ghouls with a side order of live music, this one’s for you.

Ryze from the Dead
What to expect: Take your party to new heights (yes, we went there) with painting, photo booths, prizes and the promise of scares and non-stop fun.
When: October 29, 6pm-11pm
Where: Ryze Hong Kong, 321 Java Road, Unit 302, 3/F Kodak House 1, North Point
Tickets: HK$250 for three hours; get the vouchers from www.facebook.com/ryzehongkong and pay on the door
The Zombie Prison
What to expect: Can you escape the zombie prison? Floating guards and ghostly spirits surround you – and that’s before the Zombie carnival even begins!
And if you spend HK$400 or more at designated Link shopping malls and markets, you’ll get a “Zombie Fast Pass Set”, which includes two Zombie Prison Fast Passes and two Zombie Carnival tickets.

Festival Walk Halloween HalloVR experience
What to expect: Escape games are hugely popular in Hong Kong. This one uses VR technology to create a haunted public housing estate. Utterly creepy (and awesomely fun).
When: until November 13; Monday to Friday, noon-9pm; weekends, 10am-9pm
Where: M2, UG, Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong
Tickets: HK$60

Jack’s back
What to expect: Make a Jack-o-Lantern decoration for your home with a little help from the experts.
When: October 30, 2.30pm, 3.30pm

Howl-O-Ween Waggy Walk held by Kirsten’s Zoo
What to expect: If you’ve got a dog, this is a great way to help raise money for abandoned animals and show off your pet-costume-making skills! There’s a 4km “Waggy Walk” for all fitness levels and ages, and a longer, 8km “Tails on Trails” if you’re feeling more active.
There will be prizes on the day, goodie bags for all, and pies and drinks at the end.
When: 1.30pm
Where: Aberdeen Country Park
Tickets: HK$150 (HK$350 for adults) from www.wnp.com.hk, which gets you your entrance T-shirt.
Ocean Park Halloween Fest
What to expect: This year’s attraction celebrates the genius that is Ghostbusters (yes, there are proton packs), as well as a haunted house that’s meant to be so scary, it’s limited to those 16 and above. (Check out our review)

Disneyland Hong Kong Halloween Time
What to expect: This year, the infamous Disney Villains have something special in-store – they’re conspiring to turn the park upside down and create wicked fun for everyone.
