Voice 1: Invitation 1. You are cordially invited to a garden party at the roof garden of the George Hotel, Saint George's Square, on Saturday, August 22nd. Drinks and snacks will be served from six thirty pm onwards. The main barbecue will begin at eight. The dress code is smart casual. No jeans or  shorts, please. The party will end at ten thirty pm. Please reply to this invitation to the email address below by July 1st. Entry to the party will be by ticket only. Please indicate the number of tickets required in your email. Tickets will be sent to you by post one week before the event. The maximum number of tickets you can request is four.

Voice 2: Invitation 2. Jenny Chan is pleased to invite you to her 18th birthday party on Friday, July 24th at 7pm in the Newsome Restaurant of the York Hotel, Nathan Road. A buffet will be served from 8pm and a live band will play from 9 pm onwards. At 7.30, guests will be entertained by a short magic show by Ace of Hearts. Jenny requests that birthday presents are not brought to the party. If you would like to give Jenny a gift, please send a donation instead to one of the charities listed below. Voice 1: Invitation 3. You are cordially invited to the Hong Kong première of a new production of the timeless Broadway musical MY FAIR LADY at the Lyric Theatre, Wan Chai on Saturday, July 4th. Curtain up at 8pm prompt. This wonderful show is coming to Hong Kong after a sold-out six months at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney, Australia. The show is packed with familiar songs like ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ and “Get Me to the Church On Time.” It’s the story of a poor flower girl in London a hundred years ago who is trained by a professor of speech to speak proper English and then become a lady in high society. No prize for guessing that things take a romantic turn. But is there a happy ending? MY FAIR LADY will play in Hong Kong for four weeks. This invitation is for the person named plus one additional guest.

Voice 2: Invitation 4. The best-selling American thriller writer Donna Brown will be at Front Page bookshop in Central from two o’clock till four on Tuesday June 16 to present her new murder mystery “Death in the Clouds”. Donna will read extracts from the novel and will sign every copy bought that afternoon. Reviews in America have called ‘Death in the Cloud’ the best thriller of the year, and the book has already topped the New York Times Best Seller List for twelve weeks. Places at Donna’s book signing are limited. Please email the above if you wish to reserve a place.
