Today we had a sharing session about interviews by the ARCH Academy. I was inspired as it pinpointed my lack of elaboration during an interview. I used to think that interviews required no special techniques but it was a wrong concept. From the session, I learnt that we should always elaborate our answers by giving examples, and reflect on our learning experiences. It was also important not to bash other candidates or show arrogance in our answers.

In our brainstorming session, we discussed various issues such as China’s one child policy and the impact of new media. It was an enjoyable discussion as every one was eager to express his or her ideas. I didn’t participate actively enough due to my shyness, but I found the class useful and fun. I promise myself I will be more active and brave enough to speak out loud my ideas in the coming classes.
