Malaysian songstress Fish Leong Jing-ru clearly knows a thing or two about love. A quick look at her past few albums and you can see she has a thing for the "L" word - What Love Songs Didn't Tell You, Fall In Love & Songs, J'Adore. So you can't blame her for sticking with what she knows best for her latest album, Love Will Reveal Itself Eventually (愛久見人心).

As with her past releases, the new album consists mainly of slow, romantic ballads that perfectly suit Leong's soothing voice. Her vocals in the stand-out title song and Occasional Showers (偶陣雨) are emotional and expressive without being overwhelmingly powerful. But it can be hard to tell the difference between the good love songs and bad ones, as they all seem to have the same arrangements and pace.

Knowing this, Leong tries to mix things up. She has even included a respectable dance track, Electric Heart Sensor (心電感應). The song's title is a play on words on its electric elements. After hearing ballad after ballad, it was surprising to hear how well her voice translates to a faster number.

By sticking to a tried-and-tested formula, this is an album that will surely please fans. Sadly, that doesn't make for anything particularly memorable.
