1. Stranded - Greyson Chance
Your body may be trapped in Hong Kong this summer, but you can always imagine you're: "Sat there on the dock/With both my feet grazing the water." I can already smell the fresh saltiness of the seawater, and feel the breeze over the ocean.
2. Feeling Good - Michael Buble
Michael Buble's jazzy, soothing voice represents freedom and the sun - oh, I feel good!
3. Boys In The Summer - Jessie James
Erm ... the title of this track says it all.
4. Summer Nights - Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta
Although every summer drifts away in the blink of an eye, this song will remind you of all those amazing summer nights.
5. Cuckoo - Adam Lambert
This song is all about feeling free and having fun. That's what summer is about - enjoying every moment like it's your last. I guess the chorus is right: "I wanna lose my mind like a maniac and cross the line/Never looking back, we're on the loose, getting crazy and we've gone cuckoo!"
6. Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepson
It's probably the most annoying, yet catchiest song to hit the charts this summer. With all the lip-synching and a typical, suburban puppy-love story in the music video, there is no way you can shake this song out of your head.
7. Endless Summer - Oceana
I'm sure some of you will be familiar with this rocking tune - it was chosen as the official anthem for the Euro 2012 soccer tournament. Euro 2012 may have ended, but the tune is still there, especially as the London Olympics is just around the corner. It's hot!
8. Here Comes the Sun - The Beatles
I heard if you go to the beach without playing this song, it's illegal. A perfect song on a sizzling hot day!
9. Roly Poly in Copacabana - T-ara
This K-pop tune is so fun and upbeat - it makes me want to go to the beach and dance, 24/7, all summer long.
10. Up All Night - One Direction
As the lyrics go - "I wanna stay up all night, and jump around until we see the sun" - I'd love to play and stay up all night over this summer holiday. We usually burn the midnight oil just to get our homework and revision done. But now, since summer is here, it's time to be free and party all night.
Next week: this summer belongs to the superheroes - after the release of The Amazing Spider-Man last week, The Dark Knight Rises, featuring Batman, will hit our screens in less than seven days.
One of the superhero formulas is to merge an animal and a human. If you could create a superhero using that formula, what would that superhero be, and what super power would he or she have?
