One Young World gathers bright young people from around the world for three days of discussion.
They are selected for their leadership skills. Many have already had an impact in their home countries on a range of issues from the role of business in society to climate change and global health.
At the congress, they can exchange ideas with experts about environmental, interfaith, entrepreneurship and media issues.
This year's summit was attended by more than 1,200 young leaders from 170 countries. They signed a series of resolutions for a better and more just planet.
" One Young World is a movement that exists to effect positive change," said founder David Jones, a British communications consultant.
He commended Pittsburgh on its bid to host next year's event.
