Miku Hatsune, a creation of Crypton Future Media, uses Yamaha's Vocaloid 2 synthesising technology. Her voice is based on the samplings of voice artist Saki Fujita, and her anime character is designed by manga artist Kei Garo.
Miku's first "live" concert was on August 22, 2009, at Animelo Summer Live held at the Saitama Super Arena. Since then Miku has performed "live" in Singapore and just last month in Los Angeles as part of the 2011 Anime Expo. Miku Hatsune Live Party 2011 39's Live in Sapporo will be shown on Wednesday at MCL Kornhill and MCL Telford cinemas so that Hong Kong fans can watch Miku at the same time as her Japanese fans.
This is the fifth concert organised by MCL cinemas. Previous cinema concerts have included Ayumi Hamasaki's Arena Tour 2009 and the upcoming Kylie 3D: Aphrodite Les Folies - Live in London (starting from Friday to August 24).
Wednesday's live satellite broadcast will begin at 2.30pm. Tickets cost HK$250 and can be purchased at either the box offices or online at www.mclcinema.com. For more information, otaku can visit the official Japanese website - http://5pb.jp/mikupa
