How would you raise funds to help the quake victims in Japan?

Japan is famous for its comics and sushi - they are always favourite picks for teenagers. Whenever I think of Japan, these are the two things that come to mind, so they will be the basis for my plan to raise funds for the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. I would like to get help from my school's animation club and invite my schoolmates to dress as anime characters. I would definitely dress as Sailor Moon, which has been my favourite since I was in kindergarten. We would rent the costumes and go around to collect donations. It would be fun getting dressed up and heading to the local tuck shop to enjoy eating our lunch boxes with sushi. People would be welcome to take photos with us, and each would cost HK$10. All money raised would be donated to the quake victims in Japan. I think this would be a fun and meaningful way to raise funds.

A live pay-per-view event hosted online would be a good way to raise money for victims of the Japan disaster. The spread of the internet means that the whole world is now better connected and can join together to help Japan. The event would consist of two parts. The first would involve guests performing online while the second part would be an online auction of donated items. As there are no time-zone restrictions on the internet, anyone who would like to take part could easily do so. The viewing fee would help pay for the event and proceeds from the auction would be donated to the people in Japan.
