Young people with business ideas often find it tough to raise the money to turn their dreams into reality.
In an attempt to bring investors and young business people together, Young Entrepreneurs Development Council (YDC) has organised the 'Hong Kong Business Plan Competition'. |
University students, including both part-time and full-time students, postgraduates, as well as university alumni and staff, can enter by completing an application at www.ydc.org.hk by Saturday.
There are three stages to the competition, with finalists presenting the proposal they've developed to the judges and to investors.
Nisa Lin, a director of YDC, is hoping teams can capture the attention of investors and get the funding they need to put their plans into action.
'The presentation is an excellent opportunity for the contestants to promote their plan to a large number of investors all at one time,' she said. 'Moreover, teams that reach the finals will receive mentoring from veteran partners from venture funds. This is sure to be a valuable learning experience for them.'
The competition is supported by Hong Kong Business Angels Network, Hong Kong Science & Technology Park and Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association.
