People don't want to die for many reasons. For example, they don't want to leave their families and friends. But we all know, in the end, we have to pass on.
This is not a bad thing. We would not treasure life if there was not an end to it. God has given us a life and we should be grateful for it.
What is more, think of the problems there would be if people did not die. For example, there would not be enough land to go around and not enough food for people to eat.
When you really think about it, we all have to die in the end. The only thing we can do is to treasure our lives and live as happily as we can until the time comes for us to pass on.

Thanks for your letter, Kevin. As the saying goes, death and taxes are unavoidable. Most people are afraid to die because they are not sure what will happen to them once they pass on. Many religions believe once we die we will somehow be judged for our deeds on earth and 'sentenced' accordingly. Others believe we will have the chance to do it all over again, either as a person or some other lower life form.
No matter which is true, the words of astronomer Maria Mitchell are worth noting: 'Study as if you were going to live forever; live as if you were going to die tomorrow.'
