Listen up - LEW's 2017 summer playlist

Lewis Loh, better known as LEW, is a 20-year old Hong Kong-born Singaporean singer-songwriter who recently released his album Lullacry. As a musician, LEW, of course, has his own favourite tunes. Here are his picks for the summer:

Lorde - Supercut

This is how bedroom vocals should be laid over a super slick beat to create an anthem feel.

The Click Five - I’m Getting Over You

Nostalgia 101, how to bring back your teenage memories? Listen to a breakup song by a boy band.

Metro Station - Now That We’re Done

I love the synths and vibe of this song. Makes me want to dance in my room alone with my eyes closed.

Paramore - Rose-Colored Boy
This song’s groove is so hype, and the jam in the chorus is so sweet that you don’t realize that the lyrics are super sad.

Capital Cities - Origami

Best song to run to because of the four to the floor beat and the tight bass line, but also low-key love the title of the song.

Liz Longley - Rescue My Heart

I found this song randomly on Instagram and love the way the song builds on itself. The melodies and lyrics also tug on my heart strings.

Oh Wonder - Drive

Love the small Easter egg references to Taylor Swift, Sia, Clean Bandit and Kygo. Oh Wonder is also an amazing summer band to listen to.

Mumford & Sons - The Cave

My favourite song to listen to on a wet rainy day where you have to stay home and read a book.

The Paper Kites - Bloom

Same reason as ‘The Cave’.

The Lumineers - Submarines

This is perfect for your commute to wherever you need to be. You feel super included when you listen to the Lumineers; also perfect for lonely days.
